Start Sailing 2 course is for Juniors aged 13 and above including Adults of any age who have completed Start Sailing 1 and is run in Pacer Dinghy.

The Sail Training Coordinator (Dale Collings) will always acknowledge if received, so if no acknowledgment then you need to followup with him on 0415 595 754.
Sessions are all on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 11:30 am commencing 6th November 2021. After the final Presentation session participants are invited to continue each Saturday morning until the next course begins.
The club provides all the boats and safety equipment and experienced Qualified Instructors and Assistants.
Mordialloc Sailing Club is a very family friendly club and it is not uncommon for the parents to be learning in this course while the juniors aged 6 to 12 years are learning in the Tackers program at the same time.
Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own.
Course Prerequisites
Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
