The Mordialloc Sailing club runs a comprehensive sailing program from August to May the following year. The program consists of racing, sail training, regattas and social sailing. The details of events are loaded in the Sailing Calendar.
Racing Program
The yearly racing program starts with the Winter Series that runs on Sundays from the first week of August until the end of September. The Winter Series is Open to all and attracts sailors for clubs all around the region. In the middle of the Winter Series we run the Sail Mordi Regatta which attracts large fleets and provides good competitive sailing. It is a coaching regatta and is used by many of the classes to run extensive programs.
The club summer season runs on Saturdays from Early October until late April/early May. The summerseason consists of Championship, Perpetual and Aggregate races along with a sprint series and a number of Trophy races. The following classes sail regularly:
Regattas
Every year we host a number of regattas that add to the environment of the club. As well as our regular Sail Mordi Regatta we also host regulars in the Victorian sail program like the Victorian Dinghy Champs. On a regular basis we host state and national championships and have hosted the 470 World Champs.
Learn to Sail and Sail Training
The club runs sail training Dinghy Programs for adults and Tackers for children. These cater from beginners to advanced training to participate and compete in racing. For details of our training programs click hear to go to the Learn to Sail page.
Social Sailing
A cruise down the beach to a local cafe (known as the Coffee Cruise) is a favourite, especially when the water's sparkling. This is an ideal time for trainees to practice their new skills.
